I love the original 3 Relentless books and although these side stories aren’t as amazing as the original, I have really enjoyed them anyway. I was happy to see that Sarah & Jordan were back in this book and Beth is very lovable. Of course, being a Young Adult book, the relationship problems arise because of a lack of communication. The “new enemy” that the synopsis hints at really takes a back seat to Chris & Beth learning how to let go of the past and learn to love. I think that if this was a standalone novel, I would have given it a lower rating as there isn’t a ton of depth to it but I gave it 4 stars because if you’ve read books 1-3 you really should read Chris’ story and you will really enjoy it.

I think that the goal of any author is to have each book be better than the last. I LOVED both Relentless & Refuge but Rogue is my favorite. Sara’s journey to find answers (and to find herself) hooks you and keeps you reading. Karen Lynch has done a great job at making her characters come alive and create connections between them and the reader.

I love this series and definitely recommend it to everyone. I have read these 3 books several times and I can’t wait to read Karen’s spin-off books.

If you haven’t started reading this series yet, you really need to stop what you’re doing and check it out. Karen Lynch has created such an amazing world full of amazing and terrifying creatures.

Sara has left her home and moved into a Mohiri compound. I like to see that she is still fighting to hold on to her independence and to be herself.

There’s so much I want to say about this book but I’m afraid that I’ll spoil it so just go read it. You won’t regret it.

I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys Young Adult, Paranormal, & Fantasy books.

So Twilight has pretty much ruined vampire books for me. I have no interest in reading about a sparkling, brooding vampire who wants to be good.

I am very happy to inform everyone that there are no sparkling vampires in this book. First, I love this cover. It caught my eye as soon as it popped up on my Bookbub email.

This book is not even close to a cookie cutter Young Adult Paranormal book and was very refreshing to read. I love that Sara isn’t a whiny, teen. Her defiance feels like a strong girl struggling to maintain her independence rather than a stupid teen that’s getting in trouble because she’s unwilling to use common sense.

Nikolas is also a refreshing change. He’s definitely an Alpha male but he isn’t instantly in love with Sara and half the time would much rather dump her on someone else.

I love how Karen Lynch has woven so many different paranormal creatures seamlessly into one story. And her creation of the Mohiri is perfect.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Young Adult, Paranormal, or Fantasy.
